From Analysis to Action
From state agencies to grassroots advocacy coalitions, we've had the privilege of working alongside all types of organizations committed to improving outcomes for mothers, children and the communities that support them. Here's a look at some of that work.
Featured Projects
Kids First Child Care Needs Assessment
The best childcare solutions start with a clear picture of what families actually need. We partnered with Kids First at the City of Aspen and Melton Strategic Solutions to lead a comprehensive assessment of the childcare needs of families in Aspen and Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley. Through a family survey, focus groups, interviews with childcare providers, and rigorous analysis of secondary data, our results informed local decisions about how to allocate public funds to ensure families have childcare that meets their needs.
Measuring What Matters: Colorado Perinatal Outcomes
A mother’s birth experience sets the stage for her parenting journey. We supported the Colorado Perinatal Care Quality Collaborative (CPCQC) in creating the first-ever detailed report on hospital birth outcomes in Colorado. Through robust data analysis and clear visualizations, we distilled complex hospital claims data into key insights about maternal morbidity, hospital readmission, and unexpected newborn complications that were accessible and actionable for policymakers, healthcare leaders and advocates alike.
Understanding and Advancing Health Equity in Rural Colorado
Rural families face steep barriers to healthcare, childcare, and economic opportunity. We partnered with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Office of Health Equity on a detailed report on rural health equity, combining quantitative analysis with community conversations to ground the findings in lived experience.
